Dear Heritage Consortium
Please keep me informed in terms of PHD studentship opportunities in the future.

We will endeavor to do so. We usually advertise studentships on FindaPhD.com and jobs.ac.uk, so do check there. The adverts usually go out in December.
FAO Jane Stockdale.
I apologise at the outset for using this site to contact you. But the truth is that for several years I have been trying to contact an old school friend, Neville Stockdale who was in my form at Keighley Boys Grammar School. 1945 – 53. Are you his grand daughter and if you are, would you mind contacting me. Neville seemed to disappear ? Possibly to America? A very close friend of his who was also in the same form, Ronald Burgess, has also been trying to find him.
I saw your name ( I think it is you) on the visitors list on the KBGS web site.
Are you able to help?
Dear Denis,
I will pass your query on to Jane.
Best wishes,
Sarah
Hi
I’m hoping you may be able to help me with something , I work in a 16th century merchants building in a Michelin starred restaurant and I’m trying to find a list of 16th century maritime imports and exports , specifically food but don’t know where to look could you help or point me in the right direction ?
many thanks
Liam Cavana
Dear Liam,
Maritime history isn’t my area, but I will forward your query on to a colleague who may be able to help.
Best wishes,
Sarah
Dear Dr Sarah McKeon,
I am researching the Ardent class of 18th-century warships of which the first vessel, HMS Ardent, was built at Hessel in 1762.
I wonder if you have any records of the contract for building the Ardent or any other records relating to this vessel.
I have searched the National Archives but have not managed to find any relevant information. If you are aware of any information relating to the Ardent could you kindly let me know, which would be appreciated?
Best regards
Tony Morrall
Dear Tony, Maritime history isn’t my thing, but I will pass your enquiry on to my colleague, Dr Martin Wilcox. He may be able to point you in the right direction.
Best wishes,
Sarah
